Wink Re: High heels at work

I would never wear my feminine stiletto heels to work. That would not go over with upper management. I do wear a pair of men's boots with a 3 inch block heel or a pair of cowboy boots I have with a little over 3 inch heel. I wear them with suits or slacks and polo shirt. You might try to find a pair of boots or even loafers with a higher heel (1 1/2 to 2 inches) and see how it goes over.

Good luck!

I would love nothing more than to wear my 4 inch pumps or a pair of ankle boots to work. But the mind set of the people I work with would be to ridicule and tease. The people in the geographic location here are still living in the 50s. I am baffled why we men have to be restricted to wearing dull and unexciting footwear.

I wore my black Clarks round toe block heeled ankle boots with boot cut jeans to work today. No problems and I looked and felt good.

It's a dream that I so wish I could do again, but I don't want to cause too many waves. I've gotten away with acrylic nails so far, but it might be pushing things to wear heels too - even conservative ones.

I did write this article about my escapades at the last call centre I worked at, and although I received many compliments, I also found out there were some negative things going on behind my back. At least I enjoyed it while it lasted.

and yes....ALL shoes/boots in that article did make their presence at least once, if not many times.

Any idea what brand #4, #7 and #10 are, or where you go 'em?

I normally wear cowboy boots to work with a 3" heel but for the last month I also have been wearing a pair of black ladies harness boots with a 3.5" stacked heel and no one has said a word I don't beleave anyone has even noticed, which is cool because I am wearing them more than my regular boots.

I just bought this pair from eBay, and I asked one of my colleagues what she thought. She didn't see any problem with them, and may be able to get away with them as well. I guess we'll see when they get here.
