I've got this black cocktail dress with cap sleeves and a knee length skirt. It's a soft shiny satiny material. I don't wear it that often but if I do I've got these 4 3/4" velvet slingbacks. They're not quite stilettos but the the heel is about the thickness of two of my fingers. They're higher heels than I'm used to, but the combination of the dress and the shoes gives me a real lift. Teamed up with a mock fur jacket, I hope there's only a short walk between the car and the venue!

Well, the shoes are not stiletto, and only three inches, but the coincidence should be mentioned.
I have a pair of black slingbakcs I have mentioned before. Brocade closed toe, leafy patters. They also match a jacket I have! They are not connected at all. I loved the jacket and I bought it one day. Seven months later or so, I found the shoes. Talk about chance! The shoes and the long suit jacket go together so well. Matched with a black skirt, wow.

I have a very classy pure silk halterneck dress which I love to wear with my favourite pair of strappy black sateen sandals complete with gold heels and diamante trim. The heels may only be a mere 3 inches but people always notice these shoes when I wear them.
