Does anyone else venture out in their leather thigh boots? I have from time to time and love to wear them but I must admit that it's too hot here to wear them here for most of the year.

I haven't got any thigh boots I can't imagine what I'd wear with them. I think the look could be very fetishy and I don't know if I'm brave enough! I've got this thought of those pantomines too, where Dick Whittington or Aladin would wear a tunic type thing which just covered their buttocks and thigh boots. It was a male character and it was always played by a girl with short hair, but the thigh boots usually had really high heels to show it was actually *was* girl or something :lol: Anyway, sorry for that digression, it's just an image I can't get rid of...

I usually wear mine with a black leather skirt which I think looks good. I suppose that they are a bit outrageous and not everone would have the bottle to venture out in them. They are good fun though

As a mere male, I would say "Thank Goodness for girls like Debbie". Not only do your heels generally brighten our lives so much, but thigh boots, especially with leather skirts, are truly wonderful for us red blooded males!

My last sighting (maybe this is not what this topic is meant to be) was about six weeks ago at a small hotel in Cheshire where my wife and I had called for a meal. I have always said that weddings tend to bring out both the best and the worst in people's dress sense. I'll leave you to decide which of those this is, for there was a wedding reception taking place there.

One lady guest was in both leather and thigh boots. That combination is special in any case, although, without wishing to be ungenerous, that is about all you could say in this instance. By that I mean she was a generously proportioned lady of about thirty, and she wore a pink leather suit (pink!!!!). The skirt was very short indeed - bonus points. The suit was teamed with a pair of quite delicious thigh length black leather boots with heels which were about three inches high and moderately chunky.

She seemed to be attracting very little attention - presumably the other wedding guests had had their fill by the time I saw her. Nonetheless, my wife commented about my stares - but wives are like that!

I thought she looked extremely nice anyway!!!

The last time I saw thigh boots being worn in the street was about 3 years ago, we were at a club and this woman came in wearing black leather thigh highs and a short black leather skirt (and white knickers! why white I have no idea!). For most of the evening she seemed to be playing around with the tops of her boots as the temperature in the club was very warm. Temperature reaching 30degrees (Hong Kong spring time ). By the end of the evening she had removed them and was walking barefoot. Apparently she didn't even have tights or stockings on. I hate to think how pickled her feet would have been.

I own a pair of thigh high boots with a 4.5" heel (no plat) and have very few occasions to wear them, but useful to own nonetheless.

Actually, I wear my thigh boots bare legged. As all my friends know, I never wear tights (pantyhose) and stockings are too impractical for these boots and wouldn't work.

I really can't remember the last time I saw a woman wearing thigh boots in England, Debbie. It might even have been at a panto like Carolyn mentioned. I know it's not your scene, but trousers and ankle boots or loafers/trainers are certainly the most common wear for women here in winter. I think it needs you back to lead the way, and in our colder climate thigh boots would be more appropriate. It would be nice to see more variety...
