Rep Power: 0 | One of the things that has always intrigued me when I see a woman wearing high heels is how often she has to overcome some unexpected adversity. In reading the posts of the ladies here with their regular wear of high heels I'm even more curious. I would expect the kind of normal activities each is involved in would also make a difference.
This is kind of close to the treacherous landscape post, I know. I'm thinking more of does the way you are dressed make a difference, or some normal activity that is maybe a little cumbersome because of your high heels, anything you come across that you have to make allowance for. Susan, this one's for you but I really want to hear from all the ladies. Everyone's important.

Rep Power: 34 | Weather. If you are looking for adversity, then weather is the great oppressor.
In Calgary, the weather can change in fifteen minutes. You need to have an extra set of clothes sometimes, because things cannot be forecast properly. This sometimes means extra shoes along for the ride.
Today was sunny. I am happy. |

Rep Power: 13 | Four seasons in one day, we get that in Australia as well, it's just that it doesn't snow. Anyhow it looks like the real heel weather is just around the corner in Calgary.

Rep Power: 34 | It arrived yesterday, and should stay until late Sunday. There should be enough sun and warmth to lift the depression everyone is feeling. It may snow again next week. I will not believe it yet, as no weather forecaster has been able to predict weather with any accuracy beyond a day in advance the last three weeks or so.
It's such a shame... |

Rep Power: 13 | Weather forecasting, I think its the same no matter where you come from, they often get it wrong here in Aus.

Rep Power: 34 | Believe it or not, next week they are calling for some snow. I really hope they are wrong. It seems so nice now, why ruin it with snow?
Such is life, I guess.
More oppression for my heel wearing in public, I suppose. |

Rep Power: 7 | No Typhoons in the UK but when it rains heavy it really gets down into your shoes and you end up with very soggy feet Typhoons must be a stay in door job?

My Mood: Rep Power: 22 | Typhoon season was always interesting. However, school wasn't cancelled until warning 3 was posted. http://www.peter-whitehead.com/tc3.gif
Typhoons really were a stay indoors job. I have been in five typhoons, two of which went to signal 10 (one was a direct hit. the direct hit the year before I went to HK took a hotel off the side of The Peak!)
Weather can be your shoes worst enemy, especially when all that rain or snow covers earth and creates mud! |

Rep Power: 34 | And then, for some, the mud is good. I cannot figure out that fetish. Maybe I don't have enough money, free time, and pairs of shoes. |
