It's a question I get asked 3 times a week. The board can be confusing at first... You can look down the list of last posters in the topics, but there is a better way.

Using the search function, perform a search without changing any of the default values and you will quickly get a list of all the latest posts with the poster's name and forum.

Then by downloading a thread, reviewing the post, and using "back" on your browser to get to the search list, you can quickly cycle through the posts that interest you while neatly sidstepping the ones that don't.

Another way is click on the thread with new posts in the search with the right button (Internet Explorer) and then select "open in new window" with the left button. If the thread has more than one page you need to click the last page as soon as the thread starts downloading. Then you can close this window when you've finished reading the thread and you'll still have the search window in the background ready to select another item of interest. These tips will be second nature to some of you I'm sure, but I hope it makes life easier for others.

I know we have a lot of information, but we do have the technology to sort it, and by doing a more advanced search you can hone in even better on the postings you want in a particular forum, or even by a particular poster.

For example by finding all the posts by one poster you can quickly get to know the likes and dislikes of that person without trawling through the forums for to find her/his posts.
