Moving/upgrading the site/board

The number of board visits/month is growing quite fast (seems we're growing exponential(!) at the moment).
This ofcourse, is a good thing.. But not with the current hosting provider who has a bandwidth limit of only 3G (this month we did 5G).

So I have decided to move the site to an other provider who offers unlimited bandwidth. This will happen coming month.
My goal is to do the switch to the new version of the board software at the same time, but this all depends on how much time I'll have on my hands.

Moving/upgrading the site will mean a downtime of at least a couple of hours and maybe even a whole day (probably in the weekend).

Keep your eye on this topic to find out when it's going to happen.

Ok, tomorrow 25th of june the site will go offline somewhere around 19:00h CET.

My goal is to not be off-line for more than say 24 hours. I would do it faster if it where up to me, but I'm depend on a third party here.

Update of dns-records to let the domainname (hhplace.org) point to the new server can take a couple of days longer for some people though.
Hoping everything will go smoothly, we'll see each other in our new home with our new board very soon.

What are we going to do???

24 hours? A few days? This is going to create chaos! People will go through withdrawl!

Or maybe we'll just see you in a few days.

Don't worry..

I forgot to mention that in case the domain hhplace.org still takes you to the old server, you will find a temporary link there that will take you to the new server.
