What's scary, Benno, is that I could actually talk myself into wearing the poker chip ones you posted to the casino and tell people they're my lucky shoes....

Well, thank god I don't have any of those shoes. Despite me liking my Louboutins and stripper shoes, it's good to see I haven't got any of those :)

I saw the mohair Loubies on a site recently, they looked nice from the thumbnail but that was before I could tell they were covered in carpet!

One of the very few blunders from Christian were the Mohairs. It would take feet and legs like yours, Roz, to even come close to making them look good.

I think they all look lovely, but then I banged my head hard this morning.

Ok, recovered now. In all honesty, I think they look dreadful. Sorry, but I am more traditional in outlook. Non-platform open toe high heels on a lady do it for me every time.

Some of these shoes appear to be 'test pieces' by designers who are trying to show originality, perhaps to be noted by top end shoe companies, which is fair enough I guess.

I pity the poor model that has to parade up and down in them though.

Horrible shoes like these may have a use somewhere. Most obvious is the use for feeding a fire in the fireplace. Of course the melting plastics would probably gag you for a time, so make sure the flue is open. They can also be used for a garbage container weight. That's so the garbage won't rise up and hit some one upon the face. Then again the pets need something to gnaw on, if you think they are safe and won't injure them - O.K., the pets are the ones not to be harmed or injured, of course. They can be dropped from an airplane into an area of aboriginal understanding and be considered something the gods really messed up when creating and gave to them to be buried or used in games like stick ball or kick the can. How about target practice?

Why are you insulting my whole shoe collection (ha ha ha). Just kidding!!!

Seriously, while not necessarily high on the scale of visual appeal, they aren't real bad (IMHO) as I (and a number on this board) have seen much worse!!
