The sewn in cuff/turn-up at the bottom of the trouser has been seen by myself over a here a number of times and looks good, especially with longer pointed-shoe styles. The material must be lightweight for this 'cuff' to work, and might be there
because the material is lightweight. [The cuff making sure the lower part of the trouser keeps its shape?] A spring/summer style then? Or 'office' wear?
If your chosen shoe to wear with the trousers would be those in your avatar, I could see them working very well.
