I headed out to the car with my items, one of which was a 50 lb. bag of potting soil, and the clerk in the lot who was collection carts, asked me if I needed help getting it into the car. I thanked him but declined his offer. I did, however, think is was kind of neat that this guy would offer to help another guy who was dressed in a skirt and thigh boots. The stereotypical image would be for the clerk to avoid talking to that weird guy at all costs. I was pleasantly surprised.

You should've taken the clerk up on the offer. Hefting fifty pounds worth of anything is a pain, even in flat shoes, and believe me, I did more than plenty of that back in my Navy days. Next time, let others do the heavy lifting when they offer to do so. Heh!
