An interesting debate.
Firstly, if anyone read my post properly, I said that it wasn't right and maybe considered gross. Immoral? - yes. Harmful/hurtful? no.
Secondly, I did not say that I engage in such activity - I don't. I also wouldn't agree with anyone stealing women's shoes, though I don't think stealing was actually mentioned anywhere.
My logic is sound - mugging somebody is hurtful and can scar a victim permanently. It doesn't have to be physical - a drunken ned shouting "you fat b***ard" to someone on the street could be very damaging. By comparison, a woman slipping her foot into a shoe without knowing what had been done to it previously hurts nobody. People reading that are making judgements from the perspective of
knowing what happened, and are grossed out by it.
I think I'm really looking back to the original locked thread in a way, where everyone jumped onto their high horses and slagged one particular member off quite severely. Again, I am not saying what he likes doing is right, but simply pointing out that there is no need for such a song and dance over it.
