i stepped on a great big fat strawberry over at the Farmer's Market this morning! splat! it went under my right platform and squished out beyond the edges. i was wearing my new Sherberts and they have been getting a lot of wear these days.
i was pretending of course that i didn't see the strawberry. the lady in charge of the booth, her daughter was watching me and really paying attention to my shoes! if i had to guess i would say she was in her late teens. i noticed her following me through their displays.
when i saw that huge strawberry lying in my path i couldn't resist. i looked at the young lady and she was still staring down at the squashed out mess!
it reminded me of another time a few years ago at the Farmer's Market downtown, when a pretty flashy woman was following me and staring at my shoes. that time i was wearing my first pair of Sherberts and when i saw her watching me i was hoping i could do something crazy.
