You have 'tested' the function after the change has been made.
Previously, (in my experience)
any edit after the initial post caused the "Edit" label. As mentioned before, I normally spot the glaring typo after I publish the post. [Despite using Preview and quite often a spell-checker.]
Consequently, quite a high proportion of my posts show the edit label, when in fact I've only corrected spellings, not changed the
content of the post.
As you can see from my test above, I was able to make corrections for a minute or two after my inital post, allowing me to tidy up my errors before being read by others.
