Whenever a post is marked as 'edited', a reader may well want to know why,
and it's an understandable question. [If the query didn't occur, probably the "Reason Box" provided by default wouldn't be there.]
Not everyone completes the Reason Box, and it
can create the feeling that perhaps something unpleasant has been removed. After all, most 'edits' are made by the Admin team as posts are locked after 24 hours.
If the change involves some cost, I guess everyone here will understand the implication of the change request, and the request ends here. [Although a cost of £20/$40 could be met by a personal donation from yours truly, as I'm not adverse to helping with site costs.]
But several here, myself included, may well be labouring under the delusion it only requires a number change in an option box. [If anyone is unsure, I can ask on one of the other boards I'm a member of, that uses this software.] In
that circumstance, I guess we'd ask, "why
not change the number in the box", since a number of members have asked for it?
